Belo and Beyond Yoga: On Being Sexy and Staying Sexy

GEORGINA WILSON AND RAYMOND GUTIERREZ HAVE FOUND THE SEXIEST SOLUTION TO A PERFECT BODY

Famous BFFs Georgina Wilson and Raymond Gutierrez are constantly in the limelight, whether on television, on the red carpet or in a star-studded fashion event. Being regulars in style blogs, both know the need to look their best at any angle— perfect, slim and streamlined. Even with constant diet and exercise, both friends needed help to get rid of the stubborn fat that just wouldn’t disappear. Fortunately, Sexy Solutions, a subsidiary of the Belo Medical Group, was and continues to be the perfect answer.
Sexy Solutions provides the solutions one needs to achieve a sexy body all under one roof. That includes the latest machines that melt the fat, tighten the skin and tone the muscles, as well as fitness and nutritional experts that can guide the patient on how to achieve the results in the healthiest and most convenient way possible.

There are five different Sexy Solutions procedures that target fat cells using heat, ultrasound waves, and mechanical pressure:

1 -- BURST THE FAT with Lipo Cavitation.
Lipo Cavitation breaks down stubborn fat cells in areas such as the abdomen, thighs, arms, upper and lower back by delivering sound waves using low frequency ultrasound causing the fat cells to burst and the fat to seep out, making it easier to flush out through the lymphatic system.

2 -- TIGHTEN THE SKIN with Multi Firm
Multi Firm uses radio frequency heat to improve the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. As a result of this, the body becomes reshaped and tightened.

3 -- TONE THE MUSCLE with Body Sculpt
Energy pulses are sent to the muscles to promote contractions similar to exercise, causing a “squeezing” effect that is necessary for the acceleration of liquid fat drainage. It also improves blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, and fat metabolism.
Treatments 1, 2 and 3 complement each other. For maximum results, we recommend to do these three treatments in one session.

4 -- KILL THE FAT with TITEFX
TiteFx is the newest and most innovative non-invasive body contouring and fat-destroying machine. It sends High Voltage Pulses that result in electroporation causing permanent destruction of fat cells. TiteFX also emits radio frequency that provides precise optimal heating of the skin
for tightening and body shaping.5 -- WORK-“OUT” THE FAT with ION MAGNUM
The Ion Magnum is not a muscle stimulator. It is an advanced fitness system that rapidly burns fat and delivers the benefits of an intense, professional workout without the pain, physical exertion, and exhaustion that comes with conventional exercising. The Ion Magnum uses specific, patented micro-current waveforms that mimic brain waves so that the muscle tissue is made to believe that it is performing a muscle-toning workout.

As a complement to the Sexy Solutions services, we believe that maximum results can be achieved with proper nutrition and a fitness routine. Thus, we have put together a dream team that can help you get the body you want:
Nadine Tengco, US Certified Nutritionist and Weight Loss Specialist of the Biggest Loser Philippines, created proprietary diet plans and drinks that complement and further enhance the effect of the treatments by reducing swelling and promoting proper circulation.
Along with Edward Mendez, Sports Science & Nutrition Expert, author of fitness book called “Your Dream Body Come True,” offers consultations and specialized diet plans and exercises that will guide you to achieve a lean and toned physique.

Raymond and Georgina’s Reviews

Asked whether they instantly felt a change after one session, Raymond said, “I already saw results on my first session! In my first session, which lasted less than 2 hours, I lost 4.7 inches from my midsection. Of course, it's up to you how to maintain it. For me, I balanced a proper diet and exercise regimen with regular treatments at Sexy Solutions.”

“Sexy Solutions made the process of losing weight a breeze! The treatments are painless because of the amazing new technology they have. It’s so easy to lose momentum when you’re trying to lose weight. However, the staff really took care of me and encouraged me. I feel like I'm part of this new family and I'll be forever grateful.”

As for Georgina, she stated, “I saw results immediately. Consequently, I became hooked right away! Areas that I had practically given up on were immediately smaller. I actually couldn’t believe the measurements after the first time I tried it because they were so drastic. I went from a 29 inch waist to a 25 inch waist in two months.”

“Sexy Solutions has been a large part of my commitment to fitness. I'm so happy because I feel like I have a partner in losing weight and maintaining my ideal body. It doesn't all happen in the Sexy Solutions clinics, exercising and dieting are integral to the program, but I definitely feel like we’re all working towards the same goal— a body that I am happy with. Sexy Solutions is my secret weapon to getting sexy and most importantly, staying sexy.”

FILA and Athletes in Action Run for School Rooms

Eager to make a change?  This may just be the moment you've been waiting for to actually get in  action!

Here is how you can participate in a great cause:

Heeding to the call of the times, FILA and Athletes in Action (AIA) join forces to bring the biggest advocacy run to help raise funds for the rehabilitation of classrooms in Iligan city, which were badly hit by Typhoon Sendong back in 2011.

With 15,000 runners who have signed up to date, the Schools Run for School Rooms (SRSR) marathon will be gathering student-runners from major colleges and universities, to bring a glimmer of hope to Iligan city, where eager students have to do with makeshift classrooms as the school year starts.

Since 1911, FILA traces its roots from Biella, a province set at the foot of the Italian Alps. Unbeknownst to many, this small town brand is big on corporate social responsibility. At the recently concluded 2012 FILA Polo Cup, project “500 for 500” was launched by FILA President Butch Albert to help Typhoon Sendong victims once again by donating 500 pesos to 500 families for every purchase of Skele-Toes.

Skele-Toes is FILA’s latest line of revolutionary active footwear that is fast raising many eyebrows and causing the curious to utter #whattheheckisthat? For us at FILA, it’s simply a shoe that changes the game. Rock at the gym or at the party, Skele-Toes is just about the only shoe that fits – and Tim, Georgina, and Borgy all agree!

Not ready to rock the boat just yet? Then you’ll love FILA’s newest line of running shoes, Swerve and Flow. FILA Swerve boasts of a Dynamic Landing System through a lightweight foam at the midsole and V3 techonology inserts at the heel. This gives you the proper support that you need in every step, without compromising style and design.

FILA Flow is perfect for the outdoor dweller with its heavy duty outsole, making every shock and bump a breeze. This one will surely go with you to countless victories and finishes.
Whether you prefer a classic or a rocking pair of rubbershoes, it’s high time to give your tiresome trainers a break and take the Skele-Toes, Swerve, or Flow out for a spin. With your purchase of a pair of Skele-Toes and participation at the SRSR marathon, it’s definitely more fun to help with FILA!

Tickets and registration forms are available at SM Ticketnet outlets (https://www.smtickets.com/event/view/776).  Singlets and race bibs can be claimed at Fila Stores in Metro Manila.
For exclusive updates, follow us on Twitter (@filamanila) or be a fan on Facebook (FILAPhilippines).

And not to forget, here are some photos from the press launch last June 20, 2012 held at the FILA store in Robsinson's Galleria!

LDL Marketing Goes to Berlin for the Triumph Inspiration Award 2011

Triumph International Philippines took team LDL Marketing to Germany for the Triumph Inspiration Award (TIA) 2011. Denise Khan, Triumph’s Advertising and Promotions Manager accompanied the team and Philippine representative, Pristine De Guzman of School of Fashion and the Arts to Berlin.

The TIA is an international design competition that challenges fashion students to create a lingerie showpiece for the year’s design theme. The TIA is by one of the leading underwear manufacturers, Triumph International. The company is also celebrating its 125th year in the industry hence the theme, “125 years of celebrating women.” The TIA is now on it’s fourth year and the culminating events were previously held in Beijing, Milan and London. This year the TIA was held in Berlin on July 6, 2011 during the Mercedes Benz fashion week.

More than 2,100 young designers from all over the world joined the TIA this year. 37 countries participated and the winner in each country’s nationwide competition was sent to the TIA finals in Berlin.

Mercedes Benz was a sponsor for the TIA 2011 and so the team was picked up in style by a Mercedes Benz Viano van. We stayed at trendy Nhow hotel where the press con for the TIA was held.

The accomplished panel of judges composed of model and actress Lily Cole, star photographer Ellen Von Unwerth, the model and photographer as well as face and ambassador of Triumph Essence Helena Christensen, the international singer Coco Lee, the owner and CEO of the Premium Exhibition GmbH Anita Tillmann and Jos Berry who is Brand Executive Director for Triumph were introduced to the press in Nhow Berlin, a music and lifestyle hotel.

Theresa Leung, LDL’s Creative Director, asked the panel “If they prefer style over comfort with lingerie?” Anita Tillmann replied, “It depends on what you want to do.” The international press chuckled with her answer. Most of them agree that it should be both stylish and comfortable at the same time.

Theresa Leung and our Accounts Director, Claudine De Leon had a chance to have a sit-down interview Coco Lee, she was such a delight to be with. Ms. Lee was very animated and she’s comfortable in her own skin.

Later that afternoon, the team was invited backstage to get a glimpse of the action. As in any event, everyone backstage was hard at work. The scene was chaotic but at the same time it looked like everyone knew what they were doing. The models were being made-up, some were in make-up and the others were doing hair. The designers were anxiously waiting for their models to get ready and some of them were carefully examining their pieces once again.

After seeing all the action backstage, the team was treated to a delicious assortment of hors d'oeuvres some laced with truffle oil and the others with delicately prepared garnish. Attentive servers were happy to serve the champagne. It was free flowing Moet all night long.

At this point, the celebrities and personalities started arriving on the red carpet. We were fortunate enough to experience it beyond the velvet ropes. As we were munching on the scrumptious hors d'oeuvres, Coco Lee who recognized us from our earlier interview greeted us and that was a pleasant surprise. Lily Cole and Helena Christensen were being interviewed by international press just one step behind us.

We were so thrilled when we were finally shown our seats and on each chair there was a cute Triumph fan that turned out to be so useful due to the packed venue. There were a total of 500 people in attendance composed mostly of the international press with German personalities and celebrities.

E-Werk, one of Berlin's prominent venues for top notch, world-class cultural events

The show was hosted by George Lamb, an English radio and TV presenter. His own daily radio show on BBC Radio 6 Music from 2008 to 2010 was the breakthrough of his career for which he was also awarded the prestigious Sony Rising Star Award 2008 as voted for by the public. George’s co-host was top model Franziska Knuppe. She has impressively hosted awards and TV-shows: in 2006, 2007 and 2009 she presented the “GQ-Men of the Year” and in 2008 the young mother hosted the casting show “Supermodel” for the Swiss television, the counterpart to Heidi Klum’s “Germany’s Next Top Model.”

The Triumph Inspiration Award 2011 was a sexy visual treat from all over the world. The models paraded each designer’s art gracefully. The audience connected to the designs as if they almost understood the statement of the designer without listening to the audio being played in the background.

Some designers opted for color but most of them chose the neutrals such as black, white, nude and beige for their sexy creations. Others played it safe and kept the designs simple yet stylish and elegant but Belgium’s Tom Van Der Borght was bold enough to design a matching headgear that looked perfect for winter as part of his entry.

Pristine De Guzman of School of Fashion and the Arts represented the Philippines in the TIA 2011. She was inspired by the power dressing of the 80’s and incorporated Triumph’s history as a corset maker in her design. Instead of the usual hidden boning in corsets, she made it visible outside to create a stronger silhouette. According to her, “women of today are strong, reliable and powerful, they are not afraid to take center stage as winners and leaders of the world.”

As soon as George Lamb announced the winner, Ms. Boglárka Bódis was visibly touched and moved when her design was presented on the runway for the grand finale. “I still can’t believe that I won! The past days were so exciting – and I am very proud that “Les Fleurs du Mal” impressed the judges the most!”

Lily Cole graced the catwalk in Boglárka Bódis’ winning piece. That was a great moment for both Boglárka Bódis and Lily Cole!

The TIA winner, Boglárka Bódis from Hungary, received a cash prize of EU 15,000 and Triumph will work with her to produce a limited edition commercial garment of her design. This would give Ms. Bódis a significant career boost as Triumph continuously reaffirms its promise of “perfection in female shape.”

The Triumph Inspiration Award 2011 winners:

1st place: Boglárka Bódis from Hungary with the design Les Fleurs du Mal

2nd place: Nurten Yüksel from Turkey with the creation Hezârfen

3rd place: Diana Bobina from Romania with the creation AVA 1236

ART AND DESIGN: 51st Grammy Awards Posters

I am currently obsessing over these fabulous typography driven portraits created for the 51st Grammy Awards. I particularly love the play with type and the rainbow gradient used. Musicians featured in the artworks such as Rhianna, Lenny Kravitz, and Stevie Wonder, to name a few, were asked to name their favorite songs which were incorporated in the design. These beautiful posters were created by TBWA Chiat/Day.

TECHNOLOGY: Apple VS Windows

One of my all time favorite movies is The Pirates of Silicon Valley.
This film is the semi-humorous documentary about the men who made the world of technology what it is today, their struggles during college, the founding of their companies, and the ingenious actions they took to build up the global corporate empires of Apple Computer Corporation and Microsoft Inc. (Source: iMDb.com)

Inspired by true events, this movie represents the evolution and birth of the geniuses behind the gadgets we are using now. The movie also depicted the beginning of a battle between 2 giants, Apple and Microsoft.

We’ve definitely come a long way. The TOUCH technology truly revolutionized the way we use our gadgets.
For years, the two most popular operating systems give us major updates so close to each other, so we couldn't resist throwing them into a cage match together. Everybody has his or her opinion on the great Apple versus Microsoft debate.
Here are the latest Operating Systems these two giants developed. Who knows what’s up their sleeve in the next couple of months!

You be the judge. Your OS. Your choice.
